Veteran Kenyan actor Matayo Keya, better known as Alphonse Makacha Makokha and his family have been thrown into mourning following the death of his wife, Purity Wambui.

The news was shared by Makokha's colleague and friend, Ondiek Nyuka Kwota.

Who is Makokha's wife?

Ondiek described Wambui as a good woman whose kind personality touched many lives.

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the Demise of Purity Wambui, beloved wife of Makokha•Makacha Aka "Babyface" Of Vioja Mahakamani On KBC Channel 1 TV. She was a remarkable woman who touched many lives with her kindness and warmth," he wrote.

He also passed Makokha's appreciation for the love and support from fans.

Actor Charles Ouda dies

Elsewhere, the death of veteran actor Charles Ouda was announced by his family via his brother's social handles.

Ouda passed away on the night of February 3.

The multi-talented actor, who has appeared in Makutano Junction and Salem, among other TV shows, had proposed to his fiancee, Ciru Muriuki, five months earlier.
