Marathoner and world record holder Eliud Kipchoge has given Kenyans a glimpse into his magnificent living room.

The video, taken during his interview with BBC on Tuesday, May 7, shows that the athlete's home is beautiful and worthy of a star like him.

What does Kipchoge's home look like?

In the video, Kipchoge was seated next to a large television set, with a white cupboard behind him displaying his collection of medals and trophies.

Kipchoge's living space showcased luxurious brown sofa sets, complemented by a white, contemporary, abstract lattice carpet on the floor adorned with maroon, grey, and gold patches, enhancing the home's warmth.

The walls of the living room, which were covered in white paint, had photos of the athlete that served as statement pieces to the living room.

What else happened during the interview?

During the same interview, the two-time Olympic champion disclosed the impact of online abuses falsely linking him to the death of marathon record-holder Kelvin Kiptum.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Kipchoge said the negative stories on social media made him fear for the lives of his family and close friends.

The experienced marathoner recounted receiving multiple messages, some including threats against his family and career.

During the interview, Kipchoge became emotional, breaking into tears as he recounted sharing the false accusation with his mother.

What happened to Kelvin Kiptum?

Kiptum was tragically involved in a crash late Sunday evening, February 11, on the Eldoret-Kaptagat Highway.

According to a postmortem report released by government pathologist Johansen Oduor on February 21, Kiptum succumbed to serious skull and rib injuries.

Oduor revealed the accident also had an impact on the spinal cord of Kiptum, who perished on the spot.
