Narok - Eighteen people narrowly escaped death in a horrific accident involving a private car and two matatus along the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway on Tuesday, September 3.
How did Narok-Mai Mahiu Road accident occur?
A police report indicates that one matatu swerved into the opposite lane and hit the other matatu on the right rear.
At the same time, the private vehicle driver also veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with one of the matatus.

Nosim FM reported that 18 injured people were taken to the Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment.
The two matatus and the private car were towed to a local police station as the investigation continued.
9 people killed in Londiani accident
The Narok accident follows a crash that killed nine people on the Londiani-Muhoroni Highway on Tuesday, September 3.
According to a police report reviewed by TUKO.co.ke, a Mercedes Benz truck driver lost control, swerved off his lane, and collided with an oncoming matatu heading toward Kisumu.
The bodies, that of the driver included, were booked into the St Vincent Mission Hospital morgue ahead of identification.
Three people, a child and two adults, survived the crash with varying degrees of critical injuries and were admitted to Muhoroni Sub-County Hospital.
The body of the PSV was crushed and its formation dismantled, fragments of the seats being the only evidence that the wreckage was once a mover. The truck was reportedly carrying flour.
It was towed to the Kipsitet Police Station. The police immediately launched a manhunt for the trailer driver, who fled the scene uninjured.
The bloodbath came days after another one in Tharaka Nithi county.
