32-Year-Old Woman 6-Year-Old Girl Killed In Grisly Accident

Scotland: A 32-year-old woman and a six-year-old child were killed in a tragic accident between Catrine and Auchinleck areas in East Ayrshire.

What caused the East Ayrshire accident?

The accident happened when the Volkswagen Passat they were in crashed on a quiet country road.

According to a BBC report, the six-year-old child died at the scene, while the woman died while receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Area Inspector Kenny Malaney said the cause of the accident has not yet been determined and is appealing to eyewitnesses for details on how it occurred.

"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic incident at this extremely difficult time," he said.

The Sun reported that relatives of the woman and the young girl have been notified of the tragedy and are doing everything possible to assist police in investigating the incident.

The road was closed for about seven hours to allow investigations to occur at the scene.

6 school children killed in Kitui accident

Back in the country, at least six students were confirmed dead following a horrible accident along the Kitui-Kibwezi Road.

Ithitha Deputy County Commissioner Vincent Loctary Lomachary confirmed the morning accident on Friday, September 13, saying it happened at the Wiitu Shopping Centre.

Lomachary said the victims included three pupils from Kyaoni Primary School and three from Kyaoni Secondary. The authorities said five of the victims were girls.

According to the deputy county commissioner, the learners were knocked down by a Probox vehicle while crossing the road at 6.20 am.

Lomachary said preliminary findings from the police showed that the Probox was speeding at the time of the accident.

The Probox driver fled the accident scene before surrendering to Mutomo Police Station.
