7 Killed As Car Carrying People From Same Locality Rams Into Trailer On Highway

Gujarat - At least seven people have been confirmed dead following a horrible accident near Himatnagar in Gujarat's Sabarkantha district.

According to police reports, the tragic incident happened on Himatnagar highway at around 6am on Wednesday, September 25.

What caused the Gujarat accident?

The Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Patel said the tragic accident happened after the speeding car ferrying eight people collided with a trailer.

According to the police boss, seven car occupants died on the spot while one person was injured.

Patel said all the victims were residents of Ahmedabad and were travelling from the Shamlaji area.

"Today morning, a car collided with a heavy vehicle on Himatnagar highway. Seven people travelling in the car are dead, and one person is injured. All of them were residents of Ahmedabad," the Deputy SP said, as reported by Times India.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the carelessness of the driver caused the accident. The police are actively conducting further investigations.

What Coast region police boss said about the Kwale accident

In other sad news, five people died following a tragic accident along the Likoni-Kombani Road in Kwale county.

The Sunday, September 15, morning accident involved a lorry and a motorcycle in the Denyenye area.

Coast Regional Police boss George Sedah said five people died on the spot, and another person sustained serious injuries after the speeding motorcycle rammed into a stalled lorry from the rear side.

Sedah said the motorcycle was being ridden from the Kombani area towards Likoni when the incident happened.

According to police, the rider of the motorcycle was carrying five pillion passengers when the accident occurred at 1am.
