Kericho girl running barefoot at school games

In another story, TUKO.co.ke previously reported that Mercy Chemweno, a Lesirwo Secondary school student, was the star at the Eliud Kipchoge Sports Complex during the Rift Valley Regional Games in Kapsabet, Nandi County.

The Form One student from Kericho County won the hands of the spectators after winning the 3000 Metres steeplechase girls’ race.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Michael Kibor disclosed that the unique thing about the pre-teen is that she was running barefoot with a basic outfit. That she was the tiniest in the race also made the spectators develop an interest in her, unaware she was on the way to pulling magic.
