He could not hide his sadness as he opened up about the loss of his 11-year-old boy in the horrible incident.

"I am a father of two in that school. One is alive and well at home, but the other is missing until now. He was not among the fatalities or admitted, so he must be among the bodies, and that is why we came for the DNA sampling," he heartbreakingly told NTV Kenya.

When did Hillside Endarasha fire occur?

Mwangi had been searching for his child since the inferno incident occurred on Thursday, September 5.

Like many parents, he expressed relief after knowing the fate of his boy, days after not having sufficient information.

"We have known the fate of our kids. We don't have the numbers. We are told of false hope about kids in the village or roaming around, but we know where the kids are. My kid is going to undergo the process of DNA as we wait for the next procedure," he said.
