Omanyala headed to the Paris Olympics as the second fastest man in 2024 with a time of 9.79 seconds, a mark he set during the Kenyan trials

He comfortably progressed to the semis after winning his heat with a time of 10.08 seconds.

In the semis, he was placed alongside Kishane Thompson and Fred Kerley, two elite sprinters. However, the Kenyan could only manage eighth spot. He clocked 10.08 seconds and crashed out of the Olympics.

The fastest man in Africa also had a difficult 2023 season. He went to the World Athletics Championships seeking to make history but he fell short in the final.
