"I will personally send you home. Rigathi Gachagua I am putting you on notice today. I want to confirm to you that you will be impeached and I shall be in charge of that impeachment motion. Here at home, they call me an iron lady. No one will touch William Ruto when I am there," she stated.

Her remarks followed comments from Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who declared that the decision to impeach Gachagua is final and cannot be undone.

Why atheists demanded Gachagua be impeached

Meanwhile, Atheists in Kenya have also called for the deputy president's impeachment.

The community argued that Gachagua's recent comments are stoking tribalism nationwide, driven by self-serving interests that could lead to tensions akin to those seen after the 2007-2008 elections.

Harrison Mumia, the society's president, emphasised that Kenya needs new political parties focused on developmental ideas rather than tribal agendas.
