Jimi Wanjigi Shares Photos Of Unmarked Cars Parked Outside His Home: "This Is Harassment"

Businessman Jimi Wanjigi has claimed unknown people have been condoning off his residence in Muthaiga without stating their mission.

He posted his lamentations on X.

How Wanjigi reacted to unmarked cars parking at his home

Wanjigi said the unknown people were aboard unmarked vehicles fitted with signal jammers interfering with the homestead's network.

He claimed the vehicles had parked there for a week until Friday, September 13.

"Why have unmarked vehicles outside my residence in Muthaiga for the last week? This is clearly harassment on me and my family, this surveillance is unprecedented! These vehicles are jamming all communication to my residence!" he tweeted.

This came days after the High Court in Nairobi issued an order barring the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli from entering Wanjigi's residence.

Wanjigi's home will be out of bounds for the officers until his case is heard and determined.

Further, the court ordered the state law enforcers to return the businessman's valuables worth millions of shillings.

Items police were ordered to return to Wanjigi

Wanjigi listed expensive rings, necklaces, watches, high-end phones, mobile communication gadgets and cash as the items that police allegedly confiscated during their raid into his home last month.

The jewellery set included earrings, which were cumulatively valued at $40,319 (equivalent to KSh 5.2 million), and diamond and golden rings at $6,912 (KSh 891,000).

The high-end phones included an iPhone 15 ProMax, an iPhone 14, two Samsung Flip 5 devices and a house communication gadget.

Others were an Apple laptop, three Apple i-Pads, a Samsung tablet and a DVR (HIKVISION Network Video Recorder).

They also allegedly made away with cash totalling $570 (KSh 73,000).

How court rescued Wanjigi after dramatic home raid

In August, Wanjigi secured relief from the High Court after police raided his home and allegedly made away with the foregoing valuables.

Justice Bahati Mwamuye certified the matter as urgent and issued a conservatory order preventing the police from detaining, arresting, or restricting Wanjigi's liberty.

The businessman argued that the police had no legitimate grounds to arrest or link him to alleged illegal items discovered, describing the attempts as intended to intimidate him.
