What name did Kalonzo propose for Endarasha Academy?

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, deeply affected by the incident, urged schools to ensure that dormitory doors unlock to the outside to prevent such tragedies in the future.

He proposed renaming the institution to Hillside Endarasha Memorial School in honour of the lost young souls.

"I handled the Changuli High School tragedy when I was Minister for Education, and we implemented an amazing approach: all school dormitory doors should be designed to unlock to the outside to allow children to escape during emergencies. I would like to propose renaming the school to Hillside Endarasha Memorial School so that we can remember these children forever."

What advice did Kalonzo give Endarasha parents?

Additionally, the Azimio co-principal urged parents to continue praying, emphasising that God is still in control. He advised against questioning God's will.

"To the people of Kieni and Nyeri, God is on the throne. As your friends, we stand with you at this moment of unmeasurable grief. To the parents, family and friends of these precious little angels, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Hold on to this: God is on the throne," he said.
