Kenyan Woman Builds KSh 5m House For 72-Year-Old Mum Who Sold Land, Cattle To Educate Her

A young lady has brought tears of joy to her mother following her thoughtful gift to her for her sacrifices.

Gospel musician Novince Euralia Muziq has constructed a multimillion Kenya shillings house for her elderly mother, Flora Lucy Atieno

The beautiful shelter was Novince's gesture of appreciation to her 72-year-old mother, who raised her and her siblings.

She penned a moving message to her emotional mother, recounting Atieno's sacrifices for the family.

"Dear mommy, five years ago, I saw you struggle to pay my campus fees and bills; we woke up at 5 am to go to MP’s place looking for a bursary. The line was too long, and we could wait until 11 am but still come home empty-handed. You sold a piece of land, you sold your cattle at one point, you even sold your chicken to pay my fees, and when there was nothing left to be sold, we depended on God to provide.

You were once humiliated in public, but God has honoured you publicly. You are a prayerful woman who wakes up at dawn to worship, and you’ve been doing this for decades and in all seasons. You waited on God; at 72 years, you are having your dream house, a mother of 10, and I am proud to be number 10," she wrote.

We left home to change homes, Novince says

The elated woman did not shy away from expressing her unwavering love to Atieno for her selflessness.

She also noted that she built the house in a year, splashing KSh 5 million on the project, whose photos went viral.

"Long life to you, Mommy (Flora Lucy Atieno). I love you, and I honour you with everything. To my siblings, thank you so much for your support and cooperation. You made the process easy; just in one year, the Ksh 5 million house was complete; God’s grace and speed, it was.

To anyone out there who wishes to change their homes and make their parent's lives better, may our good lord see you through; we left home to change homes," she added.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, a university student, Kamwana said he also dreams of building his mum a house.

"It may not be fancy, perhaps to her standard, but that is my dream. I want to build her a house to express my appreciation for her labour of raising me and selflessness towards me," he said.

TikToker, 25, constructs dream house for mum

In a similar story, a 25-year-old woman fulfilled her dream of constructing a beautiful house for her mother.

The young adult took to her TikTok account to share the building journey from scratch until the end in a video.

TikTokers reacted to her achievement with congratulatory messages, wishing her more success.
