The family established the first bakery in Port Reitz, Mombasa.

Supa Loaf started as a small home-based bakery and gradually expanded its operations, streamlining processes to compete with larger companies.

Nurzakhanu and her three sons played a pivotal role in transforming the business from a household bakery into a multi-billion shilling family empire.

Festive Bread

The Festive brand is produced by DPL Festive LTD, which was founded in the year 2000 in Nairobi.

Dipesh Shah has been the CEO of the company for 24 years since its establishment in 2000.

Broadways Bread

Broadways has stood the test of time since it was started in 1958 as a small bakery in Thika town, Kiambu county.

The bakery was founded by two brothers, the late Sobhagchand Shah and Ratilal Shah before Kenya attained its independence.

The company, which manufactures the Broadways and New Seneta brands, grew steadily from a one-deck oven bakery to one of Kenya's top bakeries.

The family celebrated its 100-year anniversary of doing business in Thika in 2012. In 2014, Broadways set up a distribution centre in Eldoret enabling it to reach customers in the Western Kenya region.

The Kingsmil bread brand in Kenya is produced by Kenafric Bakeries LTD.
