A family in Makueni county is appealing to the government for assistance in getting justice after their kin was allegedly shaved on the head by a police officer using a kitchen knife.

Why did the officer shave Muteti's head?

Mwendwa Muteti and the police officer got into an argument over a woman while drinking at a local bar in the area on Monday, September 23.

NTV reported that the police officer allegedly arrested Muteti, a boda boda operator, and took him to Matiliku police station, where he began shaving Muteti's head with a knife.

"He grabbed my hair and began shaving me using a knife. I felt the knife cut me. That's when I asked him why he was cutting me. When he saw blood flowing he let go of me and asked me to go to the hospital," Muteti said.

Muteti was reportedly rescued by fellow boda boda riders who heard his screams of pain. They then took him to Matiliku Hospital for treatment.

The woman accused of causing the dispute between the two men said she had initially told the officer she wanted nothing to do with him.

"I rejected him," the woman said.

The chief of Matiliku confirmed that the police officer involved in the incident had been arrested and awaiting arraignment.

Narok police officer assaults DJ over a woman

In a separate incident, a DJ named Arnold Kamau recounted how a police officer allegedly broke into his house and assaulted him, reportedly due to a suspected love triangle.

The DJ stated that the police officer forcibly broke into his home on Sunday, September 1, and dragged him outside.

The officer started kicking and beating the DJ, accusing him of being involved with his lover.

As a result of the attack, Kamau suffered a swollen face and a broken hand. Following the initial assault, the officer reportedly took Kamau to a bar and continued beating him.

Kamau is currently seeking justice. He denies involvement with the officer's partner and insists he is friendly.
