Meru Man Who Lost Consciousness Mid-journey Dies After His Car Rams Into House

• Two people died in the midst of a melee emanating from a heated land feud in the Malaene constituency
• While one was shot with a live round and died on the spot, another one was killed by a poisonous arrowhead and died while driving out of the scene
• Their bodies were booked into the Maua Methodist Hospital morgue as investigations into the matter began

A Meru man was caught in tragic chaos that emanated from a land dispute in the Malaene constituency.

How 2 Meru men met their deaths

Maurice Kimathi had driven to the disputed tract in the company of another man, Robert Mithalie.

To meet his death first was Mithalie, whose wife said he was felled by a bullet.

"I heard he had accompanied Kimathi to check on a piece of land. People told me not to go there after I was told he fell on the road after being shot," said Beatrice Robert, Mithalie's wife.

Kimathi was then attacked with a poisoned arrow before he quickly boarded his car and drove out of the scene.

Unfortunately, the poison got the better of him and led to his unconsciousness.

In that state, he could not control the car and ended up ramming into a house, dying on the spot.

The bodies were booked into the Maua Methodist Hospital morgue as investigations into the circumstances in which they died began.

Meanwhile, the bereaved families vowed not to lay them to rest until their incident is conclusively probed and action taken against the attackers.

How Kitengela children cheated death

In other news, two children were left counting themselves lucky after having a near-death experience at home.

They were reportedly in their house when a high-end Toyota Prado TX rammed into several houses in Kitengela.

According to witnesses, the driver of the Prado was speeding before losing control and driving into houses.

Police officers responded to the situation as they had a difficult time keeping curious onlookers away from the scene.
