"I saw their struggle to ensure that we are in school. They've always inspired us since I was young because they have always been there no matter our circumstances. It is this reason that made us to study hard.
"So, when thinking about how best to appreciate what they have done for us, I remembered that they had never been on a plane. Thus, I immediately booked the round-trip tickets," he said.

The man narrated that he had meticulously planned the surprise, asking his parents to go to the Eldoret International Airport under the guise of welcoming Rono's visitor from Dubai.

Upon arrival at the airport, they were ushered into the plane for their first-ever experience in an aircraft, and they were in utter excitement and disbelief.

Rono narrated that the air was thick with joy and anticipation. His mum shed tears of joy as she boarded the plane.

"It was so emotional when they realised that it was them who were to board the plane. I saw tears of joy roll on my mum's cheeks; she could not even speak as she was so happy. My dad was so thankful, and I think that was a blessing on it's own," Rono added.
