Veteran band Sauti Sol has announced the return of the Sol Fest event despite them parting ways in 2023.

Sauti Sol had, in May 2023, announced that the band was taking an indefinite break after working together for 20 years.

The splitting news irked many local and international fans, who took to social media to channel their disappointment.

However, it looks like the band heard their fans' pleas as they shared a video announcing the return of Sol Fest, which was their common concert.

Who will be performing at Sol Fest 2024?

The video depicted a lineup and revealed that there will be two shows, on December 19 and December 21.

The lineup revealed that renowned rappers Nyashinski and Khaligraph Jones will join the boy band for the festival.

Many are excited that the December 19 show is set for VIP fans, while the second will be for fans only.

The VIP tickets cost KSh 20,000, the normal fan tickets KSh 4500, and early tickets retail at Sh 3500.

Andrew Kibe blasts Sauti Sol for splitting

Elsewhere, YouTuber Andrew Kibe claimed Sauti Sol had parted ways because the four musicians decided to get into romantic relationships.

In a video shared on TikTok, Kibe claimed that the musicians would have been mega-global superstars if they had stuck together and avoided love matters.

Kibe also made fun of Bien, who was part of the Sauti Sol group, and alleged that his wife influenced him so greatly that he stopped making his own decisions.
