The US Embassy in Nairobi has invited interested Kenyans to attend an education fair.

In a post shared on X, the embassy announced that Kenyans interested in studying in the US will have a chance to meet representatives from over 40 US universities.

"Want to #StudyInUSA? Register for the #EducationUSA University Fair. Come meet admissions counselors from over 40 (US) universities" the US Embassy said on X.

The US College Fair 2024 will be held at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi on September 10 from 9am to 3pm.

The attendants will haveve a chance to meet admissions counselors from the US universities and learn about the U.S. admissions process, study options and scholarship opportunities.

How to register for US College Fair

The US Embassy posted a link to the US College Fair 2024 registration page where interested Kenyans will submit their details free of charge.

To register, one will have to provide details such as their name and age and specify if they are attending as a prospective student, parent, teacher, or other categories.

The embassy noted that by submitting their registration, the attendants give the US Department of State the consent to take a photo, video, or audio recording during the event.

The registration will also grant the U.S. Department of State permission to release, publish, broadcast, or quote the content collected during the fair in public information programmes and activities.

"Content procured may be included in future speeches, on the internet, through multiple broadcast channels, and print media. Use of content (image, audio, or ideas) will not be used for commercial purposes," reads the registration form in part.

Teaching jobs in USA

In other related news, the US Embassy in Nairobi announced job openings in the teaching field available in American universities.

The embassy urged professional Kenyan teachers to apply for the opportunities on or before September 10, 2024.

Under the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program, the US seeks to employ teachers from 55 countries.
