Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku's motorcade was treated to a brief show of hostility after it strived to snake through Embu town, where political activist Kebaso Morara was holding a rally.

Morara was engaging locals in a civic education session when the lawmaker showed up with his vehicles.

How Embu residents reacted to MP's presence at Morara's rally

Having known it was the MP, the activist's audience started to withdraw their attention from the rally to throw expletives at the lawmaker.

Morara equally diverted to lecture the lawmaker as he passed through the crowd.

He reminded his audience that it was Ruku who sponsored a bill to regulate peaceful demonstrations in the country.

"In Embeere North, you were promised a KMTC institution. There is nothing Geofrey Ruku can tell us. He sponsored a bill to outlaw demonstrations. He should go. We can't buy fear from him. Kenya is our home," fired Morara.

The motorcade quickly faded before the civic education session resumed.

Before the rally, Morara had toured several stalled projects, including Governor Cecily Mbarire's stalled multi-million shilling residence.

Morara acquires high-end car for his rallies

A few weeks back, Morara stepped up his mission to hold President William Ruto's government accountable by equipping his cause.

He revealed that he had acquired a high-end vehicle to enhance his public rallies in various parts of the country.

His 'Vampire Diaries' series on social media became a focal point for his criticism of the government, resonating with many Kenyans.

In recent days, the fast-rising activist stressed the need for a public address system to effectively reach the masses.
