A video has surfaced showing President William Ruto and Germany's First Lady Elke Büdenbender playing table tennis against Rachel Ruto and Germany's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

How did Ruto's team play against Rachel's team?

In the video shared by Ruto's spouse, Rachel, the four appear to be enjoying themselves as they share laughter.

Ruto, who had paired with Elke, worked hard to beat Rachel and Frank-Walter. On the other hand, Kenya's African Union Commission chair candidate, Raila Odinga, stood aside as he cheered.

Onlookers gathered around to watch as the first spouses enjoyed themselves, laughing whenever someone missed their table tennis shot.

"The Kenyan is better. You see, the Kenyan president is better. I can see it," one person is heard saying.

Kenyans quickly responded to the video, with some expressing surprise that Raila was actually in the company of Ruto and his wife.

Raila joins Ruto in Germany

President Ruto is in Germany for a two-day official visit. He landed in the European country on Friday, September 13.

Among the people in the president's company is his one-time political arch-rival, Raila.

During his visit, Ruto is slated to sign the Kenya-Germany Agreement on the Comprehensive Migration and Mobility Partnership, which will establish the framework for cooperation on, among other benefits, labour mobility, apprenticeships, and student training.

President William Ruto's visit to Germany primarily focuses on creating job opportunities for Kenyan youth and improving their educational and vocational prospects.
