A recent video of Zari Hassan boldly telling her husband Shakib Lutaaya she would marry a second husband has left tongues wagging.

Why Zari supports polyandry

The 43-year-old Ugandan-South Africa-based socialite turned businesswoman shocked netizens after revealing she would marry another man.

While having a conversation with her 31-year-old partner, Shakib, she said:

"I will get married to another husband."

Zari opined that South African law allows women to marry two husbands, telling Shakib never to cheat on her.

"Imagine me being in jail, leaving my kids because you are cheating. Baby, I'll get married to another guy, then I can keep two husbands. In South Africa, we are allowed to have two husbands. It's a new South African law, it was passed in the parliament, we can have two husbands," she explained.

The mother of five then assured Shakib that he was the last man she was going to marry.

"You're going to be my last husband and my last love. You're stuck in this."

Has Zari parted ways with Shakib?

Drama between the two started again when Zari's ex and baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz, travelled to South Africa to attend their daughter's birthday on August 10.

Zari went live on social media, accusing Shakib of being insecure. She claimed her 31-year-old hubby kept questioning why Diamond was at her house.

She threatened to dump him, claiming she pays his bills. Shakib fired back at Zari and he didn't mince his words. He claimed Zari is a miser and too old to give him a child.

Later, he retracted his statement and praised Zari for being supportive.
