According to Ouma, homesteads contain a forest, and such immoral behaviour reflects poorly on the entire neighbourhood.

He claimed they had observed adolescents and married adults hiding in the forest and engaging in bedroom affairs.

The area chief declared that they would not permit anyone to use the forest as a place to stay, adding that anyone discovered there would be detained and charged in court.

Ouma said a similar behaviour used to happen at Kamarianga forest, but they dealt with the situation.

He declared that anyone hiding in the local forests would face the appropriate punishment.

He appealed to the populace to aid the security guards in their purge.
