Bumula MP Jack Wamboka now says the late General Francis Ogolla's son Joel Rabuku erred by getting into his father's grave to help in burying him.

Rabuku was captured rolling his sleeves before getting down the grave alongside the undertakers on Sunday, April 21.

Why Rabuku might need ritualistic cleansing

According to him, the deceased's general son was out of order to touch his body given it was not borne in a coffin.

The supposed abomination could only be undone by rituals undertaken by the Luo elders in line with their culture, the lawmaker said.

"When an old man like Ogolla dies, his child is not supposed to touch his body. We saw his son going to the grave to receive his body yet he was not inside a coffin. Elders must be sought to carry out rituals. It is unacceptable," said Wamboka.

Failure to undertake the cleansing ritual would be detrimental to the man, Wamboka said.

The lawmaker further blasted Rabuku for being overprotective and attempting to gag those questioning the circumstances in which his father died.

Wamboka stated that by virtue of the late armed forces chief general being a ranking public servant, Kenyans were justified to seek answers to his tragic death.

"We sympathise with him (Rabuku) but he is absolutely wrong and that is unacceptable. Kenyans want the truth about the death of the general. We pray that God strengthens him, but he cannot gag us," said Wamboka.

Rabuku came into the limelight after his father's demise; courting controversy while at it.

While questions abounded over the events preceding the tragic chopper crash, Ogolla's son called for calm and ceasing of the theories peddled on social media.

According to him, his father died naturally given that he had prepared them for the imminent though sad events.
