Nairobi - A father of five was deeply moved upon discovering a heartfelt letter from his Grade Two son, tucked within his exercise book.

In the heartbreaking note, Samuel Jackson expressed sorrow over their family's struggles and the sacrifices his father, Collins Ochieng', makes to provide for them.

Why did Jackson write the heartbreaking letter?

According to the letter witnessed by TUKO.co.ke, the young boy revealed that he often overhears his father's heartfelt prayers, pleading with God for relief and a job opportunity.

"Daddy, I am writing this hoping that one day you see it. There was a night you thought I slept off and then immersed yourself in prayers. I felt great pain when I heard you cry to God that we do not even have a bed. We sleep on the floor and do not even have TV like our neighbours. I know you love us and that is why you go out in the morning to look for food even if it is small," Jackson said.

Jackson's distress peaked when their landlord threatened eviction due to three months of unpaid rent for their one-room house in Kayole.

Overwhelmed, Jackson sought solace in prayer, yearning for a change in their circumstances.

"When I heard the landlord shout at you on Sunday, my pain grew. I went outside and cried. Daddy, you will get work. Remember, God still loves us as you normally say," he added.

Closing the letter with determination, Jackson pledged to excel in his studies and become a doctor to care for his ailing grandmother.

He promised his father a brighter future, vowing to build him a comfortable home one day.

Encouraging his father to persevere, Jackson assured him of God's love and the eventual arrival of better opportunities.

"God is going to give you work, and you will buy us a big TV. I will also study hard and attend to my grandmother. Additionally, I will buy you a good house. I love you, daddy," he assured his father.

Ochieng', who shared the touching note, disclosed his journey of seeking employment after briefly returning to farming in the village.

Despite facing setbacks, he remains hopeful for the promised job opportunity that could transform their lives.

Why Collins Ochieng' travelled to the village

The humble father disclosed that through a story TUKO.co.ke ran after his house was locked, well-wishers came to his support.

He managed to relocate to the village to start farming and help his sickly mother who was then in critical condition.

However, when he received a call promising him to work in early May, he resorted to travelling back to Nairobi so he could take care of his family.
