How gov't plans to support businesses

To streamline the support process, the Ministry has opened its recently unveiled Karibu Business Support Centres to collect information on affected businesses and provide assistance.

"Our Karibu Business Support Centre is open to receive information about the businesses affected" Miano tweeted.

This initiative is part of the ministry's broader strategy to enhance businesses' resilience to natural disasters in collaboration with various stakeholders in the private sector, development partners, and key organisations.

"We are working closely with the Private Sector and Development Partners to come up with strategies that will make businesses more resilient in times of such disasters," Miano added.

Some of these stakeholders include KEPSA (Kenya Private Sector Alliance), KAM (Kenya Association of Manufacturers), KNCCI (Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry), TradeMark Africa, Kenya Authority, and others.

These collaborations aim to devise strategies that not only address the current crisis but also bolster the businesses' ability to withstand future calamities.
