Famous Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has taken to social media to criticize controversial pastor Victor Kanyari over his recent TikTok video.

Mukami disapproved of the clip through her Instastories, describing it as "cringe" and inappropriate for someone in his position.

What did Kanyari do?

This is after the controversial pastor was captured on a live TikTok video receiving condoms as a gift.

It all began when TikToker Faith Peters showed up at Kanyari's church and gifted him packets of condoms.

This was days after other women came out to claim they wanted to marry the pastor whose popularity online has grown these past few weeks

The clip quickly garnered widespread attention, sparking a heated debate among netizens about the appropriateness of the gesture.

The altar should be respected

Many social media users watched the clip with a bitter taste, given Kanyari's role as a religious leader.

She emphasized the importance of maintaining respect and decorum, particularly for those who hold influential positions within the community.

Nadia did not hold back in her criticism, stating:

"That Pst Kanyari video is cringe!! Kuna limits ya madhabahu. Hii content creation iwe na mipaka jamani! If not for the respect of the church and our religion, but for the fear of God! Madhabahu hayachezewi!!"

Nadia's comments reflect a growing concern among Kenyans about the conduct of the clergyman since he joined TikTok.

Kanyari has been engaging with different TikTok users and, in some cases, expressed opinions that have led many to refer to him as a fake pastor.

Create boundaries, Kioi advised

In an earlier story, TikToker Peter Kioi advised Kanyari to respect himself as a pastor and have boundaries that also make his church respected.

He advised him to create boundaries and stop allowing people to go overboard as it taints his image and that of the church.

Kioi further asked Kanyari to stop flirting with women, adding that he would be disappointed if his dad was online and had women shoot their shots at him.

Kanyari has yet to respond to the criticism, and silence has done little to quell the ongoing discourse.
