How did Gachagua defend his latest remarks?

Gachagua clarified that his recent statements were aimed at fostering unity among those who felt threatened, to rally them back to the United Democratic Alliance party, the ruling party.

Additionally, Gachagua lavished praise upon the head of state, highlighting him as a trustworthy leader, a patriot, a unifier, devoid of tribal biases, and dedicated to the welfare of his people.

"Our president is trustworthy, he is a patriot, brings people together and has no traces of tribalism. I have been working towards bringing people who were threatened and exposed to propaganda back to the UDA party and rallying them to support the president. I will not tire doing that," he added.
