Renowned Citizen TV reporter Stephen Letoo and his newlywed wife Irene Renoi have celebrated their final traditional festivity.

The duo exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony on April 20 at the Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County.

Their nuptials were followed by a delightful honeymoon in Zanzibar.

Letoo's last marriage ceremony

On Thursday, May 2, Letoo shared an update on social media regarding their final cultural festivity.

The media personality remarked that after the event, Irene embraced her responsibilities as a wife.

In the tradition-filled ceremony, a group of women welcomed Irene into her new abode.

In adherence to the Maa traditions, Letoo’s age set bestowed upon Irene the new name of Kiramatisho, transitioning from her maiden name, Renoi.

Additionally, she received livestock, including goats and cows, which signified her share of wealth and completed her household.

A ceremonial slaughter of cows was performed to honour her

"Today in Kilgoris Marks, the last Celebration, according to Maasai traditions, for her to fully take up her role as a wife. She was ushered in by women to her new home and my age set renamed her from Renoi to Kiramatisho according to Maa customs. She has also been allocated her wealth that includes Cows and Goats to make her household complete. Cows were slaughter*ed in her honor. Congratulations Kiramatisho and Mrs. Letoo," Letoo wrote while sharing beautiful photos.

Letoo resigns as Men's Conference chair

Previously, Letoo resigned as head of the Men’s Conference amidst controversy surrounding his marriage and views on polygamy.

The media personality expressed that after a period of reflection, he chose to resign from his position at the Men’s Conference.

He concluded by saying that the decision was made after extensive discussions with colleagues and supporters in Kenya and internationally.
