President William Ruto has hilariously revealed that he was summoned for holding his wife, Rachel Ruto's hand while in the US.

How Ruto unleashed his romantic side

Ruto and his wife, Rachel, made fashion statements while attending events in different states during their US tour.

The president proved he was romantic by holding hands with his beautiful wife, and he even helped her walk down the stairs while in Virginia.

Kenyans took to social media to praise the head of state for showing he was a loving and caring husband.

Was Ruto summoned by the men's conference?

According to protocol, the Deputy President Gachagua shared a light moment with the crowd during a prayer breakfast at Safari Park Hotel while ushering the president to the podium.

"Now, our wives want us to hold their hands. My wife Dorcas demands that I hold her hand everywhere we go," he said comically.

He said that the president's show of affection in the US had created pressure in his household as his wife Dorcas made demands he emulates the president.

He further stated that Ruto would have to answer to the men's conference for causing trouble in marriages.

The president disclosed in his speech that he had been summoned by the men's conference.

"It is true they have summoned me," he said.

Ruto's state visit to the U.S proved to be historic to the country as it the first state visit by a Kenyan president to the United States in two decades and the first by an African leader since 2008.
