A video featuring a Catholic priest singing a secular love song during mass has taken the internet by storm.

The clip shared on TikTok by Per Second News shows the priest addressing his congregants, particularly the men, and teaching them how to be romantic with their wives.

“Look at your wife and tell her, honey, sit down, let me sing for you,” the priest with a Nigerian accent says.

The reverend father from Holy Trinity Catholic Church then goes on to sing the lyrics of the popular love song ‘Nwantiti’ by the famous Nigerian singer and songwriter CKay.

After this unusual church performance, the congregants were seen clapping and laughing.

“When was the last time you did it? Sing for them, and they will be happy,” the man of God advised.

He went on to say that when men are romantic, their wives will be happy, leading to a happy home.

“From that moment, all the wrinkles on her face will disappear, and she will become like a baby again. Try it. Mercy can be demonstrated in different ways; learn them today."
