He had landed a job at Kaimosi Vocational Training Centre and was scheduled to report in a few days.

"I had called him at 10:52 am after he was done donating blood and was on his way to my house. I called him again at 11:05 am, but his number was off. It was so unlike him, and I knew something was not adding up," Too told TUKO.co.ke.

Kiplagat was later found dead in a lodge in Senior (Maili Nne), just behind Khetias Supermarket in Eldoret city.

When, where will Kipagat be laid to rest?

His brother said the family and his brother's friends were all shaken as they never thought he could end his life.

"He was a people person, and there were no signs or red flags of a person under depression that could resort to taking away his life. It is a massive shock and surprise to all of us. We are trying to come to terms with his loss. My mum is the most affected but is trying," he said.

Kiplagat is set to be buried on Friday, September 13, at home in Ngeria-Kaptum village, Megun ward, Uasin Gishu county.

The family will hold a fundraiser on Tuesday, September 10, to raise finances towards the burial of the 28-year-old.
