His most liked and shared video was from the wedding of Captain Kipchumba and Dr Kibet, which he covered back in 2023.
The flashy wedding went viral, and speaking in an interview with TUKO.co.ke about his work going viral, Boen said:
"I'm happy about it. It gives me a platform to grow, build my brand and get more clients."
Just like any other service, Boen has a rate cate and speaking about how much he charges for weddings, he said:
"The cost ranges between KSh 150,000 to KSh 300,000. We charge separately for logistics if it involves travelling to different locations."
Why do couples go live during weddings?
Unlike in the past, when couples would hire a videographer to capture their wedding on camera and hand them over a CD with a collection of memories from their big day, things have changed nowadays.
Boen told TUKO.co.ke that some clients ask for the wedding to be live on their preferred social media.
"If some clients have guests online or family members and friends living in different places and can't make it to the wedding, we do live streaming. For live streaming services, we charge an additional cost to the initial price," he said.
Boen said emotional moments, such as the groom crying when the bride is walking down the aisle, happen often, and he is happy to witness such moments.
"You feel good being part of that event. When such videos go viral, it gives you a fulfilment as a photographer that your job is great."
Why Kenyan man cried on wedding day
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that a video of a Kenyan groom wiping tears as his bride walked down the aisle warmed hearts.
The video, shared by famous videographer Boenphotographykenya, showed the emotional groom, Dennis Karanja, using a white handkerchief to wipe tears on his big day.
The bride, Janet Kimuyu, told TUKO.co.ke that her man shed tears of joy because he couldn't believe their wedding was happening.
