Gor Mahia will face their biggest hurdle yet when they play Al-Ahly in the second leg of the second and final round of qualification to this season's CAF Champions League group stages.

The record Kenyan champions will play the record African champions for the second time in seven days on Saturday evening at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo.

Can Gor Mahia beat Al Ahly?

Apart from playing away from home and the quality and pedigree of the opponent, Gor Mahia also carry a 3-0 deficit heading into the game, making it near to impossible for them to make it through.

If Gor Mahia miraculously overturns the 3-0 deficit and advances to the group stages, they are assured of at least 90 million Kenya shillings.

How much does the winner of the CAF Champions League get?

The CAF Champions League has 16 teams grouped into four groups of four teams each. The top two in each group qualify for the quarter-finals. The eliminated quarter-finalists will receive USD 900,000, while the eliminated semi-finalists will receive USD 1,200,000.

The runners-up will get USD 2,000,000, while the winner will get USD 4,000,000 (516 million Kenya shillings).
