He emphasised his commitment to delivering results despite facing criticism and challenges, urging his team in the executive and assembly to stay focused.

He explained that what his administration had achieved in the period he's been in office speaks for itself, adding that it was all down to being focused.

If you look at what we’ve achieved in two years, it’s because of focus and keeping your eye on the ball. Avoid distractions and sideshows.”

"As always, we’re accustomed to such threats, but our focus remains on the work we're doing for the people of Nairobi County. So please, our team in the executive and assembly, stay focused. If you look at what we’ve achieved in two years, it’s because of focus and keeping your eye on the ball. Avoid distractions and sideshows," Sakaja stated.

Sakaja addresses his leadership style

The governor reflected on his broad-based approach to leadership, which he claimed faced initial scepticism but has now been validated by political shifts in the national government.

He urged his team to ignore “noise and propaganda” and concentrate on their responsibilities.

Sakaja also addressed claims of being removed from President William Ruto's plane to China, clarifying that he had the function to attend despite such rumours.

"I told you I work with all sides, and though there was some upheaval, now you see everyone is here. When I started with a broad-based approach, you criticised me, but I had a vision for the future. Ignore the noise and propaganda. I’m hearing claims that I was taken off a plane but was here at this function. Forget such things and concentrate on the work," he added.

Why did Havi dare Alai

On Thursday, August 29, Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai accused some lawyers of colluding with governors to steal county funds.

Alai shared a list of 19 law firms that were paid KSh 1,345, 440,849 by Sakaja's administration for legal services.

However, former LSK president Nelson Havi challenged Nairobi MCAs to impeach Sakaja if they had proof of misappropriation of county funds.
