Former Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza has been removed from office following a vote by senators.
The impeachment motion, initiated and approved by Members of the Meru County Assembly, accused her of gross misconduct, constitutional violations, and abuse of office, charges she denied.
How did Mwangaza biblically respond to her impeachment?
The ex-governor, while not citing a specific Bible verse, spoke in biblical terms to encourage herself and others who have faced setbacks due to false accusations.

"Today, the Lord will fight for you and your household. He will give you permanent victory in every area of your life. A new beginning of victorious living is starting for you and you shall have great testimonies. Every door of blessings, and greatness shut at you, shall be open," stated Mwangaza.
She asserted that people would one day have the chance to testify about the difficult situations they endure.
"Every missed opportunity shall be restored, a divine visit from heaven that will change all ugly situations in your life to beautiful ones will manifest today," she added.
Meru residents celebrate Kawira Mwangaza's impeachment
Meanwhile, residents of Meru county erupted in jubilation following the Senate's determination regarding Mwangaza.
A group was captured following the late-night proceedings and could not hide their joy after the impeachment.
In a different footage, some residents expressed hope that Mwangaza's impeachment would pave way for Daniel Muthiani's family to get justice.
