A Kenyan woman’s attempt to baby her man has backfired in a humorous online video.

Who popularised 'hi kababa' phrase?

The woman used the famous ‘hi kababa’ phrase but did not get the expected results.

The phrase was popularised by Sandy Kahush, a TikTok user who gained popularity among men for the sweet manner in which she addressed them.

Sandy often shares videos, generally checking up on men and reassuring them. In one of the videos, Sandy lies in bed while sending love to Kenyan men.

"Hi kababa. How was your night? I miss you too. You have a nice day. Take care of yourself," she said.

Numerous guys admitted that they relished her videos, as they made them feel loved. While the men loved her videos, several women said that she was setting the bar too high for them.

The woman captured a selfie video while waiting for her man in the car.

When he got in, she greeted him with Sandy's famous words.

"Hi, kababa," she said.

The stone-faced man would have none of it.

"Sitaki hiyo ujinga (I don't want that foolishness)," he said as his wife laughed.

The video started a debate about the phrase:

localboy_stanoicon:

“Kababa means old and weak man.”

Sandykahush:

“Kababa is for the romantic singles.”

bravin_yuri:

“The name is used to refer to mama’s boys and those with mummy issues. This name is for old but weak men whose success is being pampered by their mothers. If you choose to see those who embrace such, they are the Alphas of a pack of simps. Men are not babied, especially in addressing them.”

Are beautiful women unmarriageable?

In other news, a gorgeous Kenyan woman posted a video lamenting that she failed to attract a lifelong partner.

The woman recorded herself at a desk, seemingly at work and asked fellow ladies what they did to get married.

The woman listed some of the 'bad' behaviour she gave up, including drinking and partaking in worldly pleasures.
