US-based evangelist Wairimu Kimani- WK has denied leaking audio in which a lady identified as Damaris opened up about her alleged relationship with Bishop Muthee Kiengei.

Why is Wairimu Kimani devastated?

In the leaked audio, Damaris and Wairimu also allegedly talked about Kiengei's wife, how he operates, the car he used to drive, and how he handled a situation where they were recently besieged in his church.

The audio between the two leaked on social platforms, with netizens taking sides with Wairimu, Kiengei and Damaris in equal measure.

Some, however, thought that the audio should never have leaked as it was a private conversation, and recording it was not a show of goodwill.

"Why on earth would you put your friend on a speaker phone? Was it not supposed to be a private conversation? Again they are too clear to be from a third party," said Purity Macharia on Facebook.
"You have wronged Dama because if she wanted to expose Kiengei I'm sure she would have asked someone to post about it," she added.

In her defence, Wairimu said:

"A violation or trust from one out of two friends who were visiting me and my conversation was on speaker phone. A friend of 15 years! I know who out of the two did it. I'm devastated!" said Wairimu Kimani in a Facebook post.

Kenyans react to the alleged betrayal:

Susan Muthoni:

"How could she put the phone on speaker while her two friends were there?"

Gloria Wanja:

"Weuh those audios...woiyee why would you record someone who is genuinely expressing her predicament."

Billy Okumu:

"They were to be mature enough to understand that the private conversations are for their privacy. Weeeh! Kimemramba 😊."

Monicah N Wairimu:

"This is very bad I don't have friends this being one of the reasons manyoks."

Rozy Naikuso:

"The recorder and the caller agreed to this thing, which was so interrogative for any clever person not to note maliciousness."

Doris Dee Baraza:

"Wah! She recorded that conversation with the sole purpose of sending it to someone else. So either she leaked it or sent it to someone who leaked it. She recorded her self story za loudspeaker ni story za jaba."

Christine Shiro:

"Wairimu Kimani - WK that's a conversation well recorded on the recipients phone. Not a third party kinda thing. And even if someone recorded it, you gave them full permission to do so. The convo is so clear and consistent. You have done Damaris Wa Dama Spares Original bad. Anyway... what do I know."

Wairimu Kimani defends Rev Githu

In another story, the US-based YouTuber defended a young preacher who was attacked for asking his mother to get him water during an online service, emphasising her submission to his authority.

The YouTuber highlighted the young preacher's unwavering commitment to his calling and his mother's unwavering support throughout his ministry.

Wairimu compared the act of the preacher's mother getting him water to the service rendered by church members to pastors, reinforcing the normalcy of such acts in public speaking.
