Famous South African fitness trainer Nkululeko Zane Dlamini, aka the "King of Squats," has opened up about the attention his physique gets.

Since then, he has gained fame for his unique workout routines, particularly squats, which have helped sculpt his now well-known glutes.

While his well-sculpted physique has earned him admirers, Dlamini revealed that many men find his rear “unconventional.”

According to him, some people even make fun of his appearance online, but he remains unfazed, as his viral fame is mainly due to his glutes.

“The reason I went viral online wasn’t necessarily because of my overall toned physique, but because of my behind,” he told Nation.

Addressing the misconceptions about how he achieved his larger-than-average glutes, Dlamini was quick to set the record straight.

He dismissed the rumours that growth hormones or unnatural methods played a role, crediting his transformation to hard work and genetics.

“It’s the result of intense training and countless squats. Genetics have also played a part — my whole family has big behinds, so I can’t help it,” he says.

Despite the online jokes and criticism, he remains unfazed. He notes that most people tend to focus on his rear while missing out on how strong his quads are.

How did Dlamini achieve toned body?

He added that building his glutes to their current size didn’t happen overnight.

“Ever since I was a footballer, it has been about consistent training. I do unlimited squats daily and maintain a high-protein diet," he said.

Dlamini played for Jomo Cosmos Football Club in South Africa before becoming an aerobics instructor.

His mission remains to inspire others to stay fit and embrace their bodies, regardless of the online chatter.

Dlamini tours Nairobi

The trainer shared his life story during his tour in Nairobi, where he held a show at The Waterfront in Karen.

Dlamini led attendees through Katabox, Zumba, Rhumba and squats for both children and adults.

He alluded to his popular workout classes, which promise to whip participants' bodies into shape.

"Many women want to achieve what I have, especially before the holidays," he quipped.
