Radio presenter Mike Nyagwoka left fans stunned after announcing his departure from Radio Maisha.

This marked the end of an impressive tenure of over ten years at the station.

When did Mike Nyagwoka leave Radio Maisha?

Known for his role as a news presenter, Nyagwoka's exit on July 31 left many reflecting on the significant contributions he made to the station's success and reputation.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the journalist expressed his emotions and thoughts about leaving the station.

He reflected on how unexpected the departure was and how much he wished he could have stayed longer.

Despite the suddenness of the situation, he acknowledged the decisions that led to his exit and expressed pride in the legacy he built during his time at Radio Maisha.

"When I left for home after work on the 31st of July 2024, there was no indication whatsoever that I had just done my last tour of duty in this place. If it was my choice, I would have held on a little longer, but the dice had been cast and decisions made, and all I had to do was to abide," he said.

Nyagwoka emphasised that his journey at the station was one of overcoming adversity and staying true to his dreams.

"Radio Maisha was a beautiful journey that demonstrated that one can overcome adversity and stay on course to one's dream. I am proud of the brand I built and the work I did. My mission was to leave a legacy, and I believe I did. We live in an age that presents many opportunities, and I hope that I will get the right motivation to use them to keep myself afloat. I also pray that other doors will open soon. I will miss you," he added.

Mwende Macharia leaves Radio Maisha

As reported earlier, Esther Mwende Macharia left Radio Maisha after 14 years.

The radio host posted a long post on her Instagram page, thanking everyone who helped build her brand.

As she bid her colleagues goodbye, she also acknowledged how her long-term employer helped her build a career in radio.
