Makueni- An elderly woman from Nzaui sub-county in Makueni, Ann Mukeli, is grieving the deaths of her son and grandsons.
What caused the death of Mukeli's family?
In anguish, Mukeli recounted how she went to check on her 50-year-old son, Benjamin Muumbi, on the morning of Sunday, August 18, after he failed to wake up for his daily duties.
Speaking to K24, Mukeli said that when she arrived at her son's house, she found Muumbi's lifeless body alongside his two injured sons.

"I called them, but they never responded. Upon reaching their house, I found blood flowing. I found my grandsons and their father dead," she said.
Peter Michael, Muumbi's colleague, said he rushed to the house after Mumbi's mother raised the alarm to assess the severity of the situation.
That's when Michael discovered that Muumbi had killed his 11-and 17-year-old sons with a panga before he died.
"Upon reaching the home, I found Mumbi's eldest son had been cut on the head with a panga. The other son was also killed in the same way," Michael said.
He added that Muumbi, who had separated from his wife last year, was not fond of interacting with others but appeared to have a good relationship with his sons.
"Mumbi lived only with his two sons and he didn't like people in his house. He lived very peacefully with his sons," he added.
Police transported the bodies of the deceased to the Kilome Nursing Home mortuary.
Nyandarua man kills own son, tortures 2 daughters
In a separate incident, Matura village in Kinangop, Nyandarua county, was overcome with grief and sorrow after a father turned against his own family.
Chege Kahuhia is alleged to have killed his 3-year-old son and tortured his two daughters, aged 2 and 3.
According to residents, the suspect admitted to killing his son and brutally torturing his daughters.
