Reports indicated that Mogire was in the hospital receiving treatment after the crash.

A photo shared online depicted Mogire undergoing treatment in a hospital, though it is unclear whether the image was captured after the crash.

In the image, Mogire donned combat trousers, the same ones he was pictured wearing moments before the crash. He wore a military green t-shirt.

The photographer held crutches with one hand while seated on a bed at what appeared to be a military hospital.

His other hand was bandaged after seemingly receiving an injection or drip. A phone and a plate of food were on a table next to him.

Kenyans sent an overwhelming number of goodwill messages to Mogire:

Kristabel Joy:

“Thanks be to God for sparing your life, wishing you a quick recovery.”

Reuben Towett:

“How did he manage to escape? Anyway, God is God.”

Anne Jessen:

“Quick recovery. He is the God of miracles, amen.”

Cherop Jeptoo:

“Thanks be to the most high.”

Beulla Bella:

“God loves you, brother. Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

What did Karanja Mogire's friend say?

Isaac Ameex, who referred to Mogire as a friend, said he was shocked by the chopper crash news.

Isaac narrated how he and Mogire had come from far, thanking God for giving him another chance.

He narrated how he kept calling Mogire, hoping he would pick up, but his phone was off.
