June Moi, the daughter of Kenya's second president, was buried in an elaborate ceremony, and her family honoured her by dressing well for the burial ceremony.

Among the matronly ladies were the Moi sisters Jeniffer and Doris, as well as their sisters-in-law Zahra Moi, Eunice Moi and Sylvia.

Sombre mood as body lands in Kabarak

Another story revealed that June Moi's body was airlifted from Nairobi to the Kabarak Airstrip accompanied by the bereaved family.

Daniel Moi's last-born daughter, was announced dead on April 11 by her family after a bout of an undisclosed illness.

June was laid to rest on Thursday, April 18, at her native home in Bahati, Nakuru county
