How Baruti residents reacted to KWS officer's action

Pictures shared by TV47 depict scenes of emotional turmoil, with overwhelmed women sitting in the muddy area, while others are seen wailing.

Additionally, one enraged officer is captured grabbing a man by his shirt, seemingly ready to engage in a fistfight.

Despite the protests, the officers appear unmoved, blocking residents from accessing the fenced-off area.

At the time of publication, it remains unclear whether the young man was rescued alive or if his body has been retrieved.

Lake Nakuru, like other regions in the country, has been affected by heavy rains, leading to flooding in the area.

Homa Bay mother and child die in Sindo

In another story, a woman and her child who were headed to Sindo town tragically lost their lives due to floods.

The floods were caused by heavy rains that pounded on the area, sweeping through homes and thus destroying property whose value had not been established.

Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga urged the residents to be cautious amid heavy rains.

She disclosed that those who had sought accommodation in Sindo and Nyaboma Primary Scholls would be integrated into the neighbouring communities.
