Elsewhere, a daring 40-year-old garbage collector stole a police officer's mobile phone from a police station.

Appearing before Makadara Chief Magistrate Francis Kyambia, Joseph Kariuki pleaded guilty to stealing Constable Kibet Kirui's KSh 19,500 phone.

The court was told that on Sunday, April 16, Kirui left his phone charging in the report office and went to have lunch with friends.

Upon returning, Kirui didn't find his phone, while his colleagues confirmed that they did not take it and hadn't seen anyone pick it.

The officers reviewed cameras at the station, which captured Kariuki stealing the phone in the office.
