An American man identified as Joey Jersey is elated after finally making up with his girlfriend, Sly, who left their home in Mombasa for Nairobi after suffering the loss of a pregnancy.

How did Joey Jersey and girlfriend Sly meet?

According to Sly, she met Joey when she was with a friend, and he was buying some things for his home and although he showed interest, she was nonchalant about it.

"However, when I got home, I realised why he seemed so familiar; he is a famous TikToker. So I inboxed him, and he responded. We have been together for eight months and live together. Sometimes you just meet a person and it feels right," she told TUKO.co.ke.

On his part, Joey told TUKO.co.ke that they both decided that they wanted a baby, and Sly got pregnant for him.

Sadly, Sly said that she started feeling pain, and when she was rushed to the doctor, they discovered that she had lost the pregnancy.

How did Sly lose her baby?

"Yes, the doctor did share with me the likely reason that caused me to lose the baby, but I didn't think they applied to me," said Sly, also a TikToker.

The loss hit Sly hard, and she said she felt emotionally alone and didn't think that Joey would understand.

"I thought my aunt in Nairobi would understand more since she is a woman like me. I was selfish; I didn't consider that Joey was a parent who had lost a child as well," she said.

For his part, Joey shared that her aunt asked her to go, and he wanted her to stay so that they could mourn the loss of their baby together. Eventually, he gave her an ultimatum to choose between him and Nairobi. She chose her aunt.

After asking her to return to no avail, the young husband travelled to Nairobi, where they have since made up and are together again.

"We'll try again," he said.

While agreeing to it, Sly said it might be as soon as possible.

Lodge said a friend he met during his visit to Kenya three years ago introduced him to the woman he fell in love with.

Lodge, a widower, said they had planned to marry, only for him to arrive in Kenya and discover that 'Anita' never existed.
