The seasoned politician recently had her first experience playing pool, and she relished the moment.

Why did Martha Karua quit Azimio?

A few weeks ago, the Karua-led Narc Kenya party said it would no longer be part of the Azimio la Umoja opposition outfit.

In a brief notice addressed to Azimio La Umoja secretary general Junet Mohamed, the party cited ongoing political developments as the reason for its immediate cessation of Azimio membership.

The party, with others, co-founded the coalition in the build-up to the 2022 presidential vote in which Karua vied for the presidency as Raila Odinga's running mate.

She was on the verge of becoming Kenya's first deputy president.
